Script Analysis with Jane Kaczmarek

January 18 & 25, 1:00-4:00pm

Students will work through a thorough curriculum that includes the comprehension of breaking down story, characters, conflicts and language from dramatic and comedic scripts. This workshop will show how to use script analysis to be a better actor and gain more confidence in your auditions and in the rehearsal process. Learn how to explore texts, make choices, and discover the fundamentals of analyzing a script.  Practical application of these methods will get our students on their feet in a rehearsal and audition setting utilizing these new found skills.  Drama and Musical Theatre scripts will be explored!

About Jane

Jane Kaczmarek attended the Yale School of Drama and is the beloved star of seven seasons of “Malcom in the Middle.” Jane is a three-time Golden Globe and seven-time Emmy Award nominee, with several Broadway hits including Lost in Yonkers and Raised in Captivity, where she won an L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award. Jane has appeared in over 13 films and 40 television roles and can be seen most recently in “This is Us.”
