Camp Themes: Musicals listed are potentially what our teachers will pull materials from. Not all musicals listed will be used but all materials and selections will be age appropriate. Last day showcases will be a medley of various musical numbers and scenes.
Last Day Showcases (in-person): Each camp will have 2 showcases on the final day. Audience numbers will be limited and families will be assigned a time.
One weeks: 1:30-2:00 or 2:30-3:00
Two weeks: 1:00-1:45 or 2:15-3:00
A Sample Day
9:00-10:30am – Acting – Throughout the camp session the students will learn about projection, diction, improvisation, story building, what blocking is, taking direction, building characters, memorization and focus. These are taught through theatre games, exercises, scripts, and scene work.
10:30-10:45am – Break
10:45-12:15pm – Dance – Students are taught balance, coordination, spatial awareness, and dance steps. Each day students work on learning proper dance technique through musical theatre dance. Combinations are taught to teach the student ballet, jazz, dance vocabulary, and steps. Choreography is taught and rehearsed.
12:15-12:45pm – Break
12:45-1:30pm – Singing –During their singing class each student will learn how to correctly breathe while supporting their voice. Pitch is taught through vocal exercises, as well as placement, phrasing, vocal control and style.
1:30-1:45 – Break
1:45-3:00pm – Rehearsal
Students will be broken into 2 age groups. Ages 6 to 10 and 11 to 16. Please note the curriculum is based on age appropriateness and students will need to be the correct ages in order to register for that group. There are no exceptions.
If you want to be with friends, please let us know when you enroll. We will do our best to accommodate all requests.
What to bring
Lunch and snacks! Please prepare a lunchbox every day for your student. Make sure foods don’t need refrigeration nor a microwave.
Water bottle with their name on it.
A second mask (optional) if they’d like to change after dance class.
What to Wear
A mask, again feel free to pack a second if your child would like to change.
Clothes that the student can move in and be comfortable.
Close toed shoes (no sandals, crocs, slip-ons). Sneakers are best!
You are welcome to bring dance shoes if you have them!
Should you decide to cancel:
All cancellations need to be made 14 Days before your first day of camp. There are no refunds or credits for any reason after this. Cancellations need to be in writing please email: email@example.com to cancel.
If you cancel, you can either receive a refund minus a nonrefundable deposit OR a full credit.
The nonrefundable deposit for one-weeks is $75 per registered student and for two-weeks is $125 per registered student.
Credits are good for one year and can only apply to another class or camp. Once chosen, a credit cannot be changed to a refund. Credits cannot be transferred to another student (including siblings/family members).
