Tentative Rehearsal Schedule (Sideways Stories)

Audition Requirements: Students please prepare and memorize a 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds contemporary monologue in the style of the show.

Get ready for a wild, laugh-out-loud adventure at Wayside School! Based on Louis Sachar’s beloved book series, this hilarious stage adaptation takes you to the 30th floor classroom where nothing is quite what it seems.

Pigtails come to life! The notorious Mrs. Gorf turns students into apples! A mysterious cow wanders the halls! And wait—substitute teachers are actually… nice?! From mashed potatoes and a mischievous ghost to unexpected life lessons, Wayside School is full of surprises, laughter, and heart.

Now it’s your turn to bring this zany world to life! Audition for Theatre 360’s production of Sideways Stories from Wayside School and step into a show that celebrates imagination, curiosity, and friendship in the most delightfully unpredictable way.
This is the perfect opportunity for young and teen actors to grow, perform, and have an unforgettable time on stage. Whether you’re new to acting or a seasoned performer, there’s a role waiting for you!

*To audition, students must be enrolled in one of our semester classes (our special events: Fri-Yay Series, Improv Night, Master Class Series, and Singalongs do not qualify as a semester class).
*Students may only audition for one play at a time. If your student is 13+ they can leave up to the directors’ discretion which play would be the best fit.

Audition Requirements: Students please prepare and memorize a 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds contemporary monologue in the style of the show.

From Mischief, Broadway masters of comedy, comes this smash hit farce. Welcome to opening night of the Cornley Drama Society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor, where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show—an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines). Nevertheless, the accident-prone thespians battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences! Part Monty Python, part Sherlock Holmes, this Olivier Award–winning comedy is a global phenomenon that’s guaranteed to leave you aching with laughter!
